Dotted amongst the recent howling winds and heavy rainfall, the sun has slowly started to shine through. March marks the first sign of Spring, and with it, comes a renewed sense of excitement for the months ahead. With cold early mornings quickly flowing into more mild temperatures, the merino wool t shirt is a go to for those changing temperatures.

What is it about Merino?

Merino has the innate ability to regulate your body temperature as climates change, and unlike traditional wool, the Merino breed produces fibre that is super soft and luxurious against the skin. Our Merino wool, sourced from the McKenzie Basin in New Zealand, is 17.5 micron in diameter, classifying it as ultra-fine, and one of the softest Merino wools on the market. With ultra-fine fibres comes delicacy. To counteract this, we worked alongside Global Merino on their RaptTM method, an innovative construction technique which encases a durable nylon yarn within the Merino fibres. This offers our merino wool t shirt the properties of 100% Merino wool, but the durability of a synthetic.

A shift to sustainable.

As the sportswear industry pivots to a more sustainable means of producing product, we’re proud to offer Merino wool as part of our core collection. Fully renewable, bio-degradable and natural, it’s one of nature’s few high-performance fibres. As a company, we’re also excited to announce a relationship with *Woolmark to support our use of wool within future collections. They will provide sourcing support, product development, insights and much more to help us develop and produce some of the best Merino wool garments on the performance market.

What next?

With forest green out of stock in key sizes, and navy running low, we head back into production next month to replenish the existing colours. Alongside the restock, we’re excited to launch a new colour-way for Spring, which adds more choice to our Merino t shirt offering.

As we mentioned earlier, we’ve started the development for our first capsule collection, launching next year. Working alongside Woolmark on two key Merino styles, this will be our first offering outside of our core collection, and we’re really excited to share more toward the tail end of this year.
